What I do

As a Managing Director I take care of the day to day business. I am involved in all aspects from larger purchases and contracts to employing people and planning and execution of our projects.

It is important for me to make sure we have the right people in the right places and that our company provides the level of quality that our customers expect.

Background

I started working with what is today known as Mesta in the area of Tunnel and road construction. After completing my education I spent two years in the Norwegian Military.

I then started working with Techno Dive AS with mechanical assembly on the Kvitebjørn platform at Aibel in Haugesund, and then maintenance of valves and pipelines at the Gas processing plant Kårstø.

I returned for a short while to road construction at Vassbakk & Stol in Bergen, before going back to the offshore industry in 2003 to first work as a rigger on The Ekofisk-M project, and then thruster changes and mechanical work during SPS for several drilling rigs with Techno Dive AS.

After completing education as a Real estate consultant in 2005 we established Otech Marine Services AS.

What I do

As a QA/ Project Manager it is my responsibility to ensure that our projects meet both the customers’ expectations and our own.

As a part of my job I make schedules and plans for our projects, interview personnel, look after and plan service to our equipment and supervise our own projects till they are finished.

I also have a lot of assignments for customers as a Dive technical consultant or other diving or technical matters.

Background

I started working in the diving industry 1976 building saturation systems for Oceaneering.

I then moved on to working with Seaway Diving or what is known as Acergy today as a Senior Dive Technician. After 10 years I took a job as a Technical Superintendent with the same company.

In 1994 I started working as a Ship Manager for the DSV “Seaway Pelican”.

In 1999 after 18 years in Stolt Comex Seaway (Acergy).

I started working as Project Manager for FMC Kongsberg Offshore, after sale service, Brazil deep water projects.

In 2001 I moved back to Haugesund and started working with Techno Dive AS for 5 years as a Project Manager with thruster changes and Rig maintenance before starting Otech Marine Services AS in 2005.

Audun Berntsen

HSE & HR Coordinator

• 32 years experience as Welder/Plate worker/ Pipefitter/ Mechanic
• 7 years experience as Deck man/ships engineer
• 9 years experience as Industrial protection leader, Security leader, Actions leader (Firefighting/first aid)

What I do

As a HSE/HR Coordinator my job is to take care of the safety within our company and ensure that our HSE systems are maintained.

It is also my job to coordinate which personnel that have the right certificates and to distribute these to the individual projects.

In addition I coordinate most of the personnel we offer to our customers for repair and maintenance jobs at shipyards or other onshore locations.

Background

I started my education in 1970 at Haugesund Mekaniske Verksted or what is today known as Aibel. I stayed there for 10 years as a welder with different certificates.

From 1980-1987 I worked on an Anchor handling/ tug/ supply ship as a deck man and ships engineer.

From 1987 I worked with ship maintenance and repairs for different companies as a welder, pipe fitter, plate worker and mechanic.

Between 2000 -2009 in combination as a worker I also functioned as an industrial protection leader/ Actions leader in combination with my role as safety leader for the shipyard Karmsund Maritime Service AS. I completed several courses in Isometric drawings and achieved a PFSO/ISPS certification during this time.

In 2009 I joined Otech Marine Services as a HSE/HR Coordinator.
